Tutor of Singing, Guitar, Drums and Music Theory

Henry D has a long history for working with musicians, young and old - whether they are trying to find their singing voice, take their first steps into song writing, improvisation, production, guitar, or drums. Henry trained as a chorister at Wells Cathedral School, Music Scholar at Marlborough College and subsequently studied on the renowned BAMPI course at Trinity Laban. He has appeared with the London Symphony Orchestra, The Script, at the Royal Albert Hall, Edinburgh Festival and in recording projects for Hyperion and Chandos. 

 

Henry's first single received over 15,000 streams in the first year of its release, followed closely by a debut EP. He has subsequently produced and co-written for a number of high profile artists. He currently fronts his own band as well as performing as a DJ and multi-instrumentalist where he has appeared at festivals and venues across the country. 

 

As a teacher, Henry is at home in a range of genres and styles and loves working with students to find their own voice and their own musical identity. He is flexible, patient and at home in a range of styles; contemporary, rock, pop classical, jazz, and musical theatre. His approach to teaching is resourceful, imaginative and he aims to get the best out of students, whilst ensuring that they enjoy their journey into music making.
