Tutor of Classical Piano, Music Theory, Film Scoring, Composition and Folk Music
Mazyar has been playing piano for over 25 years. After eleven years of great endeavours, he was awarded for achieving The First Place in two categories, including piano performance and composition in "The 4th Student Music Festival", 2007. He studied his Master's degree of Classical Composing at the Art University of Tehran where he graduated with distinction. He was awarded The First Place of music composition in "SABA Music Festival", 2017.
After attending master courses and being a jury member of many music festivals, he took part in 'Film Scoring Summer Program' which was held by the Film Scoring Academy of Europe, supervised by Christopher Young, Bulgaria, 2019. Now he is studying master's degree in film scoring at the NFTS (National Film and Television School), England as one of the 8 chosen students in 2020.
Mazyar is a passionate and dedicated music tutor with experience in teaching to different ages and skill level, from beginner to advanced, and able to teach variety of musical styles and prepare students for exams and performing live concerts. He has been teaching piano, solfeggio, music theory, composing, orchestration and film scoring in different prestigious music schools for more than 7 years. In addition, he was music lecturer at Elmi Karbordi Music University for 2 years, Iran. In 2017 he wrote music for a short animation, called "The Eaten" which was chosen to participate in several international festivals during 2018. Many of his works have been played by professional orchestras (eg. Radio Symphony Orchestra of Bulgaria, ATEA Wind Quintet).
Mazyar also teaches specialist courses in his subjects.
