FAQs
How do I organise a lesson?
You can CONTACT us via telephone or email. We will arrange for you to have lessons with the best tutor for you. There is no registration fee.
Where are your tutors located?
We have tutors across the whole of London, who can teach at your home, at the tutor's home or online.
How much do you charge?
Prices vary depending on the tutor, location and length of lesson. Our PRICES page specifies what our rates are. For more information, and to find out if you can benefit from discounts, please CONTACT US.
When can I start with my lessons?
As soon as you've made a booking, you can start whenever you like. Some find it best to start at the beginning of the month, and keep a consistent day and time for their lessons.
How do I pay?
Our PAYMENTS page has guidance on how to pay.
I cannot attend my scheduled lesson, how do I cancel?
To cancel a lesson, please give us at least 24 hours notice, otherwise we will have you charge you for your late cancellation. We treat our tutors fairly and encourage that you also respect their work, time and dedication. If you have given us more than 24 hours notice, we can reschedule the lesson.
I want lessons but don't have an instrument yet. Can I still have lessons?
We can organise lessons for you at a tutor's home, who will have an instrument you can play on. We recommend that you do look at investing in an instrument, to ensure you are able to play and practice at home. We can help guide you on purchasing an instrument.
What is the best age for my child to start music lessons?
For piano and singing lessons, age 4-6 is a good start. For guitar, violin, drums and trumpet, 6-10 is recommended. Some students may show capability at a younger or older age, so it is worth organising starter lessons to test out whether they are ready for it.
How many lessons should I have per week? How long should the lessons be?
For young children, a 30/45 minute lesson a week may be sufficient. We recommend that older children (12+) try out one 45 minute lesson per week. For older, intermediate or advanced students, 1 hour a week is recommended.
How much should I practice?
Young children should practice a minimum of 15 minute three times a week. Older children and beginner adults should practice 30 minutes several times a week. Advanced students should be practising for over 45 minutes on a daily basis. Practice will guarantee progress!
Do you teach grades and for exams?
We can definitely prepare you for graded exams. Your tutor can recommend which exam board is
best for you.
