Ali K is a pianist, composer, and educator based in Richmond. Persian by origin, Ali brings a rare blend of warmth, sensitivity, and quiet charisma to everything he does. With over a decade of formal training and two years of teaching experience at respected institutions such as The Ritz Music Studio and The Vineyard School, Ali offers more than piano lessons - he offers a space for personal growth, creativity, and emotional expression through music.

His teaching approach combines the best of classical foundations—sheet music, theory, and exam preparation—with a contemporary, soulful perspective, helping students develop their own voice at the piano. Ali is known for his calm and attentive presence, creating a nurturing environment where students feel heard and inspired. He teaches both children and adults, adapting to each learner’s pace and personality.

Alongside his teaching, Ali is an active composer, creating ambient, cinematic works for performance and collaboration. His pieces reflect a deep emotional palette—sometimes meditative, sometimes mysterious—always sincere. He is also a multi-instrumentalist and lead creative force behind a progressive rock band, where he explores heavier, theatrical forms of music. Though distinct from his teaching practice, this part of his artistry informs his depth and originality as a musician.

Ali holds a degree in Music Production and Sound Engineering from the London College of Contemporary Music and is DBS-checked with ongoing work in music education.
