Testimonials: "I came back to piano as an adult after having not played for over 15 years.  Alicia,  as a truly gifted pianist and teacher, absolutely reignited my love for piano and music generally.  She tailors her teaching techniques to suit each individual student and has amazing ability to explain complicated concepts in simple terms.  Alicia combines the best aspects of traditional and modern teaching methods meaning that my lessons are always well balanced and progress is always being made." - Janine, adult student "Alicia has been teaching my daughter for three years, taking her from the beginning through two grades and beyond. She is patient, firm and encouraging and has done wonders for my daughter’s confidence and technique." - Kate, parent "I started learning with Alicia to prepare for performing Rhapsody in Blue with orchestra; she gave me a fresh perspective to its interpretation on a piece I already knew well. Alicia is very friendly, and is able to communicate and demonstrate how to develop playing and practice techniques." - Toby, adult student "Alicia is an absolutely superb & 100% reliable piano teacher; very patient and kind, but also goal driven. Our nine-year-old has formed a really strong and positive teacher-student relationship with Alicia in regular weekly lessons. Her clear written weekly guidance on regular ‘home practice and exam syllabus coverage’ means that our nine-year-old does what is necessary without our constant parental reminding. All four of our children have got to Grade 2 or beyond with different teachers over the past ten years and Alicia’s teaching approach ranks at the very top of that range. Very highly recommended." - Sara & Andrew, parents "Alicia is a fantastic teacher to both my children, having been teaching them since they were 6 years old (now they are 8 and 10). Alicia’s strength is to make learning the piano fun, at the same time as giving the children clear direction and lots of encouragement, especially when they have been taking their piano exams. It’s the perfect learning environment." - Kathryn, parent
