Violin, Piano & Music Theory

Alime is an experienced violin and piano teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience. She studied at the National Conservatory of Azerbaijan in Baku before completing a Master’s degree in Music Management in London Metropolitan University. In addition to teaching, she has performed with various orchestras in Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Hungary and the UK, giving her a well-rounded perspective as both a musician and educator.

She works with students of all ages, from as young as 3 to adults in their 60s, tailoring her lessons to suit each individual’s needs and learning style. Many of her students have achieved distinction or merit in their grade exams, but her focus goes beyond exam results. She aims to help students play with confidence, develop their own style, and enjoy making music. She also teaches music theory, helping students develop a deeper understanding of the structure and language of music.

Alime believes in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel encouraged to develop at their own pace. Whether teaching beginners or advanced players, she combines technical training with a flexible and patient approach, helping each student reach their potential while fostering a lifelong appreciation for music.

"Alime is simply fantastic with our daughter. She is alway enthusiastic for her Tuesday piano lessons, and Alime knows exactly how to pace lessons so that learning is both fun and productive." - Marina "We've been having violin lessons with Ms. Alime for a while now, and we're really enjoying hearing how our son has been progressing. Would highly recommend Alime to anyone, she is brilliant with young children." - David
