David is a London-based drummer, composer and educator, specialising in Jazz, Rock and Alternative music styles.

Originally from Bradford, West Yorkshire, Dave grew up playing in Yorkshire brass bands. He moved to London in 2016 to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where he graduated with a Bachelor of music, 1st Class Honours in Jazz Drums.

In 2021, Dave moved to Chicago, IL to study at DePaul University School of Music with world class drummer and ethnomusicologist, Dana Hall (Betty Carter, Ray Charles, Branford

Marsalis). Dave graduated his masters program in Jazz Studies in 2023 with a distinction, and has since returned to the UK to establish himself on the London scene. Dave has been fortunate to play at renowned venues in London and Chicago including MOTH Club, Vortex Jazz Club, Richmix and Schuba’s Tavern.

Dave’s teaching methods are very adaptable as he considers students’ learning styles, their

goals and musical interests in order to provide an individual tailored experience. He cultivates a positive, supportive dynamic with his students where they can develop individuality and express themselves through music.
