Double Bass, Guitar and Bass Guitar
London Based Double Bass player Enrique G graduated from Trinity College of Music in 2007. A classically trained musician, his repertoire includes anything from Classical music to Contemporary and Latin Rhythms.
In his home town of Bahia Blanca (Argentina), he has played for several years at the Orquesta Sinfónica de BahÃa Blanca. While he was a student at TCM, he won the Vernon Elliot prize for Double Bass in 2004. In 2005, Enrique founded "Del Plata Quintet" - a Tango Quintet focusing on the "Tango Nuevo" of Astor Piazzolla with whom he toured around the UK.
Enrique is the founder of and conductor of "The Teddington Tango Orchestra;" an Orchestra dedicated to helping people learn the style of Tango. He has also been a professor at Dartington International Summer School on their Tango course.
At present, he works as a Freelance Double Bass player with Orchestras and Chamber Groups across the UK and he is in special demand among Tango groups and soloists.
