Gerry has been playing guitar from an early age and began teaching and playing professionally in 2012. He attended Walton’s School of Music where he attained a grade 8 qualification and won the Young Student of the Year award. He then moved on to third level education, receiving a first class honours degree from BIMM Dublin. With original bands he has toured Ireland and the UK, and currently gigs regularly with function bands, cover bands and various jazz duos. He also composes and performs his own instrumental music, as well composing songs to collaborate with singers. Students from any level will be catered for, and all styles are available to be learned including; jazz, blues, pop, classical, funk, singer-songwriter, rock, folk and more! Along with guitar, he also teaches Bass, Ukulele and Music Theory.
