Ivan R graduated with BA Hons at Colchester Institute School of Music, Essex, where he specialized in "Performance" on the classical guitar and clarinet. During his studies, he won the Ireland Trophy for Strings and the Moles Trophy for Duets. Ivan has performed in many masterclasses with some of the finest guitarists including Carlos Bonell, Simon Dinnigan and Benjamin Verdery. More recently, Ivan performed alongside two internationally renowned classical guitarists in Craig Ogden and Gary Ryan.

During lockdown, Ivan pursued his ambition to extend his professional musical qualifications. He successfully passed the following diplomas: ABRSM (Associate of the Royal Schools of Music) with Distinction, Dip ABRSM (Diploma of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) and ATCL (Associate of Trinity College London) within the same period.

As a trained musician, Ivan is passionate about the instrument and teaches students of all ages and ability. He has guided students successfully through the ABRSM and Trinity exams which requires left-hand and right-hand technique. He also teaches up to Grade 5 Theory. Additionally, Ivan also teaches acoustic fingerstyle technique to students wanting to learn chords and sing songs.
