Piano, Guitar, Singing, Ukulele, Music Theory

Marianne is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, performer, and music tutor. She completed a Bachelor of Music at the University of Auckland, placing first in her class, and spent a semester abroad at Kingston University London, where she interned at RAK Studios and began carving out a space for herself in the London music community.

Marianne is deeply passionate about teaching and loves helping students build confidence, creativity, and a strong musical foundation. She teaches guitar, songwriting, singing, ukulele, and piano, and carefully tailors each lesson to suit the individual student’s goals, learning style, and musical interests, whether that’s developing technique, writing original music, or simply finding joy in playing. Alongside teaching, she is an active songwriter and performer who has toured twice across New Zealand, been playlisted on Air New Zealand flights, placed in the Top 50 on Australian radio, and featured on BBC Radio 1.

"I’m delighted to recommend Marianne, who was my son's guitar teacher. When he first began lessons he found the guitar quite challenging, but Marianne’s passion, patience, and warm teaching style completely changed that. Her deep knowledge of music, combined with a genuine love for it, shines through in every lesson. She didn’t just teach technique, she helped my son fall in love with the instrument. Her encouragement and engaging approach made a huge difference, and he progressed far more quickly than we expected. Marianne is a truly gifted teacher, and I wholeheartedly recommend her." - Manuel
