Mijung was born in DeaGu, South Korea. She studied at the KimChun Music and art college and moved to YeungNam University. After her studies, Mijung played in the professional Orchestra JinJu Symphony in South Korea, as a first violinist.

During her studies and after that, Mijung has played in the Symphony Orchestra in Bournemouth and the Wandsworth Symphony Orchestra in London. She has also taken part in festivals in France and South Korea.
