Robert is a professional musician and guitarist with an extensive experience in performing music in different genres. Based in West London since October 2023, he recently finished his MA in Creative Music Production at ICMP London with first degree honour’s and is currently working on his own debut album.

First picking up the guitar at the age of 16, he was accepted into Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas just few years later, studying Jazz Guitar and graduating with distinction. Throughout the studies he was playing gigs on regular basis across Armenia, working in Artsakh State Jazz Orchestra, as well as playing with different bands and famous musicians in Armenia, such as cellist Artyom Manukyan. Within the jazz orchestra, remotely collaborated with the well-known rock musician Serj Tankian (from System of a Down) re-recording one of his songs.

Alongside his performing and producing career, Robert has also been teaching music, which started by helping their younger bandmates in the orchestra to advance their skills in music theory and improvisation. Another trigger of getting into teaching was working with around fifteen children on the “Learning English Through Songs” programme at the American University of Armenia. Since then, teaching became another passion of Robert and he taught a number of private students to learn the guitar and music in general. The most important part of teaching is to make it a real fun and introduce an individual approach to every student helping them advance in their own musical journey.
