Robert started playing drums at the age of 13 and instantly found his passion! After studying through the Trinity Guildhall exams where he passed his Grade 8 with 91% distinction, he then went on to study at the prestigious Leeds Conservatoire where he graduated with a 1st Class Degree. Robert has been a freelance musician for 10 years with extensive teaching, session and performance experience in original and wedding bands, playing at festivals such as Boomtown, Love Supreme, Live at Leeds, King Tuts Summer Nights and many more!

When teaching Robert understands that each student is at a different stage of their musical journey, and that everyone learns differently. He takes a relaxed and personal approach, ensuring each of his students have personalised lessons dedicated to their specific goals and abilities. Robert teaches his students all the necessary skills to become well rounded drummers, such as: solid time keeping & groove, fills and chops, creative and musicianship, technique, and a wide range of genres.
