Stefano Z
Electric Guitar and Music Theory
Stefano is a professional guitarist and music educator with 11 years of experience performing professionally across a wide range of musical styles. He teaches both electric and acoustic guitar, covering genres from jazz, blues and rock to progressive music and metal, as well as music theory, improvisation and technique. He studied at the Jazz Academy Altro Suono in Brescia, Italy, and is currently in his final year of Music and Sound at the University of West London. Over the past five years, he has worked as a professional musician on cruise ships, performing regularly for international audiences and developing a versatile repertoire. He has also performed at a jazz club under the artistic direction of Gary Barlow, where he had the opportunity to perform for and alongside him during a showcase.
Improvisation is a central part of Stefano's musical approach, encouraging creativity, confidence and a deeper understanding of music. His teaching philosophy focuses on tailoring every lesson to the individual student's goals, interests, experience and learning style. Whether a student wants to learn their favourite songs, develop their technique, understand music theory, explore improvisation or prepare for more advanced musical studies, Stefano creates a personalised learning path to help them progress. He uses the music students enjoy listening to and playing as a foundation for lessons, gradually expanding their knowledge through practical examples, relevant exercises and creative exploration. His aim is to make learning engaging and rewarding while helping each student develop their own musical identity, independence and confidence as a guitarist.
